Steveโ€™s journey started with cooking for family and friends as a hobby, backed by 10 years of experience as a pastry chef. Katie is a wealth of music knowledge and offers private piano lessons out of her home in Riverside, RI. With a robust background in music and music education, she is an ideal instructor for all experience levels! Katie teaches several Empowered Movement members (including her daughter Lindsay, who takes dance classes with us!) and comes highly recommended by us and our community!

As a piano major at Gordon College, Katie received classical training under the direction of Alina Polyakov and studied alto saxophone under the direction of Michael Huth. After graduating with a Bachelor of Music Education degree, she made her home in Rhode Island and has been working as a freelance singer, saxophone player, pianist and teacher for over 25 years.
She also happens to be Miss Kaylee's mom!
