Each year, the last weekend in July, the Barre Heritage Festival and Homecoming Days is celebrated in downtown Barre. Thousands join in the fun for the biggest festival in Central Vermont. Vendors galore, a mile long parade, band after band after band, tub races, bounce houses, even mermaids and pirates, and a gorgeous firework display to end it all!

Absolutely spectacular! 🎆❤️

Northstar Fireworks Co. lit up the sky over downtown Barre with the largest fireworks display in Barre Heritage Festival history, and they truly outdid themselves!

With fireworks launching from the lawn of the Vermont Historical Society, the close-proximity views from City Hall Park and North Main Street were simply unforgettable.
Seeing our community gathered together beneath a sky filled with color was the perfect way to celebrate an incredible festival weekend.

Now THAT was a parade! 🇺🇸🎉

The 2026 Barre Heritage Festival Parade brought more people into downtown Barre than we’ve seen in decades, and the energy along the entire route was incredible!

From community organizations, youth groups, musicians, dancers, floats, and some truly unforgettable vehicles to the thousands of smiling faces lining the streets, this parade showcased the very best of Barre. We were also honored to welcome Governor Phil Scott, who joined the Barre Elks in carrying the American flag through downtown.

Seeing our streets filled with so much community pride was truly something special. ❤️

One last concert. One legendary band. One incredible festival finale. 🎶🔥

Native Tongue returned to the City Hall Park Main Stage and gave the 2026 Barre Heritage Festival the unforgettable finish it deserved! This longtime festival favorite kept downtown Barre singing, dancing, and celebrating until the very last song.

There was no better way to close out two amazing days of live music, community, and everything we love about Barre. Thank you, Native Tongue, for bringing the energy and ending the weekend on such a high note!

Thunder Horse came riding into the Barre Heritage Festival and what a debut! 🤠🐎🔥

The City Hall Park Main Stage turned into a full-on ’90s country party as Thunder Horse delivered the honky-tonk hits, high energy, and plenty of reasons to sing and dance along. From the boots on stage to the kids dancing in the park, this was classic country fun at its best!

Main Street Barre became the stage as our incredible street performers brought excitement, laughter and plenty of surprises to the Barre Heritage Festival!

Cate Great and The Red Trouser Show amazed the crowds with juggling, acrobatics and daring stunts, while Linda Peck delighted festival goers with juggling and colorful balloon creations.
