Vermont concert pianist Diane Huling will perform works by Rachmaninoff, Bach, Scarlatti and Chopin here at the BOH this Sunday, October 11 at 3 p.m. The performance will feature the last sonata of Beethoven, op. 111. Considered unplayable during Beethoven’s day, this sonata is a tour de force, using classic style and form, but foreshadowing the Romantic era that followed.

BOH volunteers are the best!
For the past two Saturdays, dozens of ushers helped get the theatre ready for the upcoming concert season.
They assembled new lobby chairs and deep cleaned every corner of the opera house.
The season kicks off with blues legend Robert Cray on September 19. See the full lineup at BarreOperaHouse dot org.
