RE-BOOTING DAG: In COVID-19 Times

Our next meeting will be November 16 on Zoom at 7 pm. This will be an exercise in democracy in action!

If you are interested in participating, please post a comment and I will send you a Zoom invitation and a list of questions that we will discuss and use to make decisions about the future of our group.

Tuesday, October 19th at 7-8 pm is our Salon Night! This is an in-person meeting.

The art center’s “Edge of Abstraction” exhibition submission date is looming. We can bring images we think would work for this theme and discuss them. You are welcome to bring any questions you might have on other topics too: apps to use, workflows, and processes. Someone will have an answer!

We will meet in-person at the art center and ask that only vaccinated people attend in-person meetings. Members are most comfortable if we are masked during the meeting as well, but we can see how this particular group feels.

Image from last night’s DAG meeting! We had a hybrid Collaboration, about half of the members on zoom and half in-person! The new format did not hamper our creativity or the fun we had putting this together!

It’s time for our first meeting of the fall! It is just in time to celebrate our 4th birthday and to catch up on what we have been creating over the summer. We will meet September 21 at 7 pm.

Please let me know if you are comfortable meeting in the galleries at the art center with a zoom component or would prefer a zoom meeting for everyone. To be honest, I was planning on an in-person/hybrid meeting but am wondering if enough people feel comfortable with that format due to the current surge. Please let me know what you think!

I am so excited to be a part of this competition! Mobile Digital Art and Creativity’s (MDAC) “Call for Artists” is OPEN NOW!

MDAC will display the work of 100 digital artists from around the world in painting and photography categories. The works will be exhibited at the Pacific Art League Gallery in Palo Alto CA, right in the heart of the Silicon Valley. You can attend the opening via zoom or in person.

I am judging the show so please enter! Your may submit up to three images for free. The deadline is May 31, 2021. I look forward to seeing you work!

The Deadline is SUNDAY! This is an open exhibit! Anyone from anywhere may enter! I am looking forward to seeing examples of your work and filling the exhibition with the glorious variety of work that digital artists create!

Open to all emerging & established artists in all media (No crafts). Cape Cod Art Center seeks submissions for “Spring Open – 2021”. Artists from near and far are invited to participate in this annual exhibit. Any subject matter will be considered. There is a special award for Best Cape Cod Landscape. Up to $1,500 in cash awards given.
