Our Story
An historic home for the arts in Central New York, Unity Hall hosts concerts, live theater, lectures and other events. Located just 10 miles north of Utica and 12 miles east of Rome in the village of Barneveld, New York, Unity Hall is conveniently close to those who live in or visit the Mohawk Valley and the western region of the Adirondack Park. Built in 1896, Unity Hall is a beautifully restored community gathering place that offers a truly unique setting for enjoying live, music, taking in a play or attending any of a variety of other events sponsored by the Unity Hall Foundation and other presenters throughout the year. The not-for-profit Unity Hall Foundation maintains and operates the hall.
Unity Hall's meeting spaces and the historic second floor theater can be rented, both for public presentations and private functions. Information on renting Unity Hall for private events is available on our Rental page. Performers or presenters interested in an event for the public at Unity Hall should contact us by through the form on the web site’s Contact page.
