Welp, folks, that's another show in the bag for North Country Stage. THE NERD was a wonderful and fun experience for us all. We hope to see you back here the first weekend in December for our 11th production. We're currently still in deliberation over what the next show will be. Oh, Hi! Is this 101 Vanderkamp Ave.? I was suppose to do a show here called, let me see, THE NERD? I guess it's about me, Rick Steadman. Yea Hi there, Rick Steadman. Well, I just wanted to remind you all of this little show my friends and I are putting on at Unity Hall in Barneveld. Boy I sure hope my friends show up soon. Anyways, Like I said before it's called THE NERD. It's about me! HAHAHAHA. It's a joke, y'know? Get it? No? Oh kay. So, come out to Unity Hall in Barneveld tonight at 7:30pm and I guarantee you'll have your socks knocked right off! Oh and speaking of socks there will be a great game of SHOES AND SOCKS later. You'll see, it's really fun!

Treat yourself to a night full of laughs at Unity Hall in Barneveld on April 21 and 22, at 7:30pm, with a matinee performance on Sunday April 23 at 3pm. North Country Stage will be performing Larry Shue’s comedy “THE NERD”. Now an aspiring young architect in Terre Haute, Indiana, Willum Cubbert, (Gordie Felt) has often told his friends about the debt he owes to Rick Steadman(Aaron Ure), a fellow ex-GI whom he has never met but who saved his life after he was wounded in Vietnam. He has written to Rick to say that, as long as he is alive, "you will have somebody on Earth who will do anything for you" - so Willum is delighted when Rick shows up unexpectedly at his apartment on the night of his thirty-fourth birthday party. But his delight soon fades as it becomes apparent that Rick is a hopeless "nerd".
This is the tenth production for North Country Stage and also marks a directorial debut for Gordie Felt, as he leads a returning cast of Emily Foote, Aaron Ure, Livia Goewey and Allen Solomon. This production also features Joseph Scott and David Bunker. Tickets for the show will be $10 in advanced and available at The Village Diner on Route 12 in Barneveld. They can also be purchased on Unity Hall’s website at www.unityhall.com. Tickets at the door are $12 and student advanced sale or at the door will be $5.
