"I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for this program and the people who run it."
-Lainee Ison GSC Theatre grad.

Gordon State College couldn't be prouder of the grit, talent and passion of remarkable Performing Arts professional and consummate collaborator, Lainee Ison. Take note of her impressive work at professional theatres (Ex: Springer Opera House) and with professional film companies (Ex: Argo Navis). Here's what she says:

"Theatre is important because it creates a safe environment where people are free to tell meaningful stories and express themselves in ways that not only impact the people in the audience, but also the other artists and people who work alongside them.
I’m happy that I get to say Gordon’s theatre department and their professors Lisa Cesnik Ferguson and Tony Pearson, were able to curate that type of environment for me during my time there. I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for this program and the people who run it. My time with this department has not only fueled my passion for theatre and filmmaking, but has given me the confidence and the tools necessary to pursue it in a professional capacity. I have nothing but gratitude and thanks for every person I’ve been able to meet and work with along the way, and I hope everyone will know that the people and this department will always have a very special place in my heart until the end of time."

We hold you in our hearts too, Lainee. Keep making good work - wonderful! Lainee Ison

“Being Insatiable is not a bad thing, especially in this profession! Gordon State Theatre was a complete reset for me."
-JEREMY LOGAN, GSC Theatre graduate 2024

"Since graduating I’ve been building myself up in the Atlanta scene, learning and collaborating with so many great artists! After signing on with my first talent agent, I’ve taken part in a plethora of productions including Georgia Tech & SCAD here in the city. Although I love being in front of the camera, I have still found ways to perform on stage. My current endeavors include teaching at the Alliance Theatre and I recently booked the role of Matthew Watkins (understudy) in A Christmas Carol 2026!

Being Insatiable is not a bad thing, especially in this profession! Gordon State Theatre was a complete reset for me. Before switching my major from Business Administration to Theatre Studies at Gordon, I had no clue what I wanted to do after college. My first time stepping into the Theatre I was nervous that I wouldn’t fit in. Little did I know Gordon Theatre became the first place where I felt I belonged. I left Gordon State with a hunger to chase a childhood dream I assumed was never possible. Gordon changed that thought for me, for which I am forever grateful."

Gordon State College theatre students are impactful, near and far. JEREMY LOGAN is one of a long line of successful, talented professionals who made it through our program. Watch him soar! Thanks for sharing, Jeremy!

We’re looking for NON-UNION actors for an independent psychological thriller pilot titled The Atonement Series. This character-driven crime drama is set in a small Georgia town and explores themes of trauma, domestic violence, redemption, and restorative justice.
While this is a low-budget indie production, it’s story-forward, emotionally grounded, and designed as a festival and investor-facing pilot for a multi-season series. https://www.backstage.com/casting/the-atonement-series-3071775/?utm_source=social_share&utm_medium=navigator_share_api&utm_campaign=casting_call
