Went fishing in the Ocean with the family today for my 1st time since my hubby and I started dating in 1999. It was the perfect day to grow my comfort level and get over my fears. We went south for a bit, and I was able to snag this picture of Seaside.

We are coming up on FD/MAS Awareness week in February. This is something that is New to me, but is also something that is extremely personal for me. For the next few weeks, I will be posting information about Fibrous Dysplasia and McCune-Albright Syndrome to bring awareness to this rare disorder and to help me better understand this disorder. Treatment options are limited, invasive, and not guaranteed. Below is just basic information about the 2 disorders.

Fibrous Dysplasia is a bone disorder. It's not like any other bone disorder as it grows thin bone within its chosen spot. For some it in their cheek, hips, skull, legs, etc. In our case, we are fortunate to have it only detected in the upper left maxillary. Others have it in multiple spots, causing it to be extremely painful and detrimental to their daily lives.

McCune-Albright Syndrome is described by many as the Monster. You never really know what you will get or how it will make your body behave. It effects you bones, Endocrine system & skin. It can cause minor things like BO, or extreme things like precocious puberty in girls as young as 2.

Please take the time to read more about these disorders. The more people learning about this, the more awareness this can bring and hopefully funding to find a cure or even better treatment options.

Anyone else trying to focus on their 🍓🍉gardening 🥬🍅this year? I have my garden planner, but it's too pretty to plan in yet! So here I am drawing and sketching before I make it permanent!

We are also growing our corn in a circular pattern this year, after the wind took it out last year. Planting it in 3 phases. I just asked on her tiktok account (do follow her) if planting red clover would help the 🌽corn🌽 as a cover crop, and she suggested beans... so looks like, I just opened up an entire bed for something else! This is why I can't finalize anything... research is key! Me and the Library are besties right now!
