Happy Birthday to the man behind the scenes. The man that makes the scenes. Stephen Vasse-Hansell, you're the best. Ralph Hansell
This morning friends and family paid tribute to the beautiful person that was Don Curie in a touching, personal, and funny memorial service. It was a good showing from the Magical Family, including others not pictured here. We were so fortunate to have Don in our lives.
Happy Birthday to the wonderful Dimitri Georgiadis! We've known him since he was a lad, now he's a young man we call a colleague.
Kisses & hugs for Mother Goose!
Happy Birthday to a talented young man who was also a talented young boy. Hope you've been enjoying your day, Gabe Reed!
Look at these boys - they love Mother Goose! Thank for having us, Summit Lake CDC.
Talent, talent and more talent at St. Joseph School in Mogadore! Two fantastic KidScripts authors got to shine this morning. Paris White wrote "Expedition to the Bermuda Triangle" and Roshanne Caputo penned "The Teenager Who Is a Werewolf.” Congrats! What a great way to end our KidScripts 2022 tour!
Bath, Ohio should be very proud of Bath Elementary and their talented KidScripts authors: Madeline Ghioghie "The Legend of the Cyclops Clan and Clark Wiesbrock “Abyss.” Bravo!
Kidder Elementary, in Brunswick, was the place to be yesterday! Such imaginative work by Lilliana Kuhn ("Rose and the Dragon") and Silas Paul ("The Devil That Fell To The Underworld").
Woohoo!
Happy National Alien Abduction Day!
Yesterday was a blast at Nolley Elementary School in Akron. Student authors Grayson Thomas ("Eyes Are Tuff") and Laura Johnson ("The Last Tiger") wrote super creative stories. What a great way to end our first week of KidScripts performances!
Tallmadge Elementary students Eleanor Pifer and Lily Angerstien were the stars of the show yesterday morning! The World Premiers of their stories ("Haunted House" & "The Hidden Room") were performed by our KidScripts actors. Congrats to all!
Happy St. Patrick's Day from all the Magical Theatre leprechauns!
Greentown Intermediate in North Canton sure hit it out of the park yesterday with KidScripts! Avery Dempsey & Elysse Rome wrote two terrific stories! Congratulations to all the authors, teachers, families and school staff. We are so happy to have Greentown as part of our KidScripts family. Who wouldn't want relatives like that?!
It was a graceful exit, at peace and happy. That is how our dear friend and colleague Don Curie departed from us. He left us watching in amazement, just as we always did when he was lighting up the stage. And, if imaginable, his light off the stage shone even brighter. We all saw it in his eyes - you know the twinkle - but actually that light came from his heart. Don created so much joy by caring, by giving, by feeding and by laughing. Thank you so much, Don. We are all richer because of you.
We had the pleasure of presenting Josephine Lynn Evans’ “The Necklace” and Laney Johnson’s "The Enchanted Forest" yesterday at Minerva Elementary in Minerva. Congratulations to Josephine & Laney for writing such original and creative plays for Magical Theatre Company's KidScripts!
Herberich Primary was the home of our "KidScripts" opening yesterday morning, and oh, what fun we had! Congratulations to our authors: Ariana Gabel ("The Talking Dog") and Brock Ramsey ("Jobs for Joe.")

Here is your nightly trivia question from Holly, with some help from Sherlock. And find out if you got last night's question right.
We could all use some good news. Magical Theatre fans will never forget our great friend and colleague Jerimie Newcomb as Mr. Beaver in our production of "Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." Jerimie has had a heck of a go of things this past year, but we are so happy to see him up and walking and making great progress everyday. We can't wait to see him back on the stage again.
Thank you for your wonderful response to the #GivingTuesdayNow campaign. We supported the spirit of philanthropy and community service by producing an exclusive video of our "Mother Goose" production. It is free and available to all on our website www.magicaltheatre.org. While you're there, please check out some of our other videos we have recently created. Theatre games, how-to sessions, storytime readings, dance routines, and many more videos are all available to help you and the kiddos engage your creativity at a time when it is needed the most. While you're enjoying our offerings, please consider making a donation on our website if it is within your means. Your generosity helps us continue to be a place where imaginations grow. Stay safe, be well, and we will keep providing original content until we can all be together again at Magical Theatre Company.
For those who were able to attend, thank you very much for witnessing the inspiring story of Annie Sullivan and Helen Keller with us. You filled the seats and projected your energy onto the stage, lifting us up so we could share the compelling lives of these two remarkable women. We were particularly fortified by students immersing themselves in the performance, as well as their moving and insightful post-show comments. Thank you to those teachers and schools who made the effort, coming from both near and far. And thank you to the cast, crew, and staff who came together to make this production possible. We are very grateful. -Dennis O'Connell, Co-Producing Director
