🌊Happy World Ocean Day🌊

The 2026 Action Theme is Strong Marine Protected Areas for Our Blue Planet!

"Strongly protected and regulated Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) play a central role in restoring the health of the ocean and safeguarding biodiversity. Properly managed MPAs help rebuild fish populations; protect vital habitats like coral reefs and mangrove forests; provide natural solutions to climate impacts and strengthen the resilience of marine ecosystems facing threats from our rapidly changing climate, pollution, and overfishing.
No matter where we live, each of us can advocate for stronger protections in coastal nations and on the High Seas that benefit communities, wildlife, and the overall stability of our blue planet."

"The conversations we continue, the habits we change, and the actions we take will make a real impact."
