Important Update: Ropes Course Closure

We sincerely apologize, but due to ongoing staffing challenges, we have made the difficult decision not to open the Ropes Course for Woolly Worm Weekend and to officially close it for the remainder of the season. We look forward to welcoming our treetop adventurers back in May!

We know this news may be disappointing, especially for our littlest adventurers who were looking forward to climbing through the treetops. Please know this was not an easy decision, and we truly apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment it may cause during your visit to the High Country.

The good news? Our Alpine Coaster remains open year-round! There’s still plenty of excitement and adventure waiting for you!

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We sincerely appreciate every family who chooses to make us part of their High Country memories, and we can’t wait to see you back among the treetops in May!

Hello,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, but due to staffing shortages, we have made the difficult decision to close the Adventure Course earlier than anticipated this season.

The Adventure Course will be open for one final weekend, October 16–18, 2026. After that weekend, the course will close for the remainder of the 2026 season.

We truly appreciate your understanding, patience, and support. Thank you to everyone who joined us for an adventure this year—we are grateful for you and look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

With storms anticipated later this afternoon, we’ll be closing the ropes course early today. Because it takes a little extra time to safely get everyone on and off the course, we want to make sure our guests and staff have plenty of time to clear the course before the weather arrives.

Due to today’s rainy weather, conditions aren’t suitable for climbing, so we’ll be closing the ropes course early.

The adventure doesn’t have to end there, though! Our Alpine Coaster next door operates in the rain, making it the perfect way to keep your weekend fun going in the Highlands. Plus, our coaster sleds are equipped with rain shields, so you can enjoy the ride without getting drenched.

Come take a spin down the mountain—we’ll see you there!

We are closing the rope course for the remainder of the day. See you tomorrow!

Good morning!

We are closely monitoring the weather conditions. At this time, we do not anticipate being able to allow anyone on the ropes course until sometime after noon.

Before heading over, please call the ropes course to confirm whether we are operating. For the safety of our guests and staff, activities will remain suspended if lightning is detected within a 10–15 mile radius of the course.

We’re hopeful that conditions will improve later today so we can open the course and enjoy a great day of climbing. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
