The longest day of the year is coming! Save the date to celebrate midsummer in Downtown Bangor on Saturday, June 20th!

We’ll revel in the enjoyment of our adopted gardens while they bloom on the year's longest day.

Together, we'll spend a lovely late afternoon enjoying our community in one of the most beautiful parts of the city.

There will be cookies, lemonade, music, lawn games, bubbles, and more during this free, all-ages event!

If you need a ride to the polls in Bangor, you're in luck -- Tuesday, June 9th is a free ride day on the Community Connector!

Election Day is this Tuesday, June 9, and the Community Connector will get you to the polls at no charge! People can ride any Community Connector bus for free on Election Day. Voting in Bangor on Election Day will be held at the Cross Insurance Center, 515 Main St., from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This was one of those projects that just really gets us in all the ways that are important.

Today we celebrated at Portland Pie Company - Bangor, ME with students from the construction program at Penobscot Job Corps who built us new wooden planters to replace the aging planters that were built in 1997!

We loved hosting all the students from so many backgrounds in Downtown Bangor and are hoping they all choose to become part of Bangor's skilled workface and make Bangor their home when they graduate.

Thank you to SMRT Architects & Engineers and R.H. Foster for sponsoring the planters downtown and making this project possible.
