WHO SHOULD VEND?

Farms. Fiber mills. Fiber artists. Indie dyers. Growers. Makers. Farm-to-table producers. Homesteaders. Handcrafters.

If you grow it, raise it, process it, dye it, spin it, make it or create with it — we want you!

We’re looking beyond the traditional fiber show to bring together the whole story — from soil to sweater to homestead goods.

This is an outdoor event on a working Texas ranch. We’re ditching the auditorium and the same-old fiber scene for agriculture, makers, animals and real-life experiences.

Come sell. Come demonstrate. Come teach. Come tell your story. .

Bandera New Era:

Wool Warehouse Being Remodeled

Work was begun Tuesday morning at the warehouse of the Bandera Co. Ranchmen & Farmers Association, which will greatly enlarge the building. When finished, the structure will be of rock with concrete floors and will be 50x122 feet with basement 50x60 feet. This work is being done for the benefit of the customers, as it will greatly facilitate the showing of wool and mohair to its best advantage and a modern show room is included in the improvements.

The old rock building at the back of the warehouse is being razed and the materials will be used to build the new extension. This work is expected to be completed in about two months and will provide employment for a number of men and the greatest expense will be for labor, only a small part going for new material. M. F. Johnston is supervising the work. A modern loading platform will be built on the southeast side of the building and will be the handiest loading platform in the State.

The building which is being razed was built about 70 years ago and at one time housed the Geo. Hay saloon. The present warehouse was built about 1874 by H. H. Carmichael and George Hay who continued in business there until 1903. It has been used as the warehouse since 1920.

Meet the newest members of the Entwined Fiber and Wire bunny barn! 🐰🤍

Karen’s beloved Franklin has become a proud daddy to 9 beautiful French Angora kits, now 5 weeks old!

French Angoras are treasured for their incredibly soft, luxurious fiber. Unlike meat or pelt rabbits, these fluffy beauties are raised for the fiber they produce, which is gently harvested by combing or shearing before being spun into exquisite yarn.

Curious about raising Angoras, processing their fiber, or creating with this amazing wool? Contact Karen Davis 🧶✨
