Wow, what an amazing week New York City Dance Alliance Nationals in Florida. So many feelings but the biggest is PRIDE! Could not be more proud of each and every one of our MCPA dancers. We had a road to get to this event; we had countless hours of re-spacing and adding new dancers to almost every dance we brought in the month leading up. Some dancers actually stepping on stage for the first time at Nationals in choreography presented… and they handled it like true professionals. We are known as a ballet/contemporary school but in all actuality we pride ourselves in versatility with tap and musical theatre and jazz holding just as much importance. Thank you to our talented and dedicated teachers and choreographers for cultivating an environment that allows our dancers to thrive in so many genres. While we could not bring all of our classical and contemporary work, our dancers continued to shine and were recognized in all genres. Let’s go tap! and musical theatre! Both selected for the final gala. This group is spectacular. They are humble, talented, and spirited. We love them! Thank you NYCDA and for an amazing week of meeting new dance friends, challenging classes, awesome opportunities, and most important feeling supported and surrounded by our dance community! We loved every second and now looking forward to all things possible in our next season. ❤️
