Art is the universal expression of our souls and is powerful enough to influence the course of our lives. Art, music, and culture are tools used to build the appreciation of one's humanity and the humanity of others. As an Executive Director and Founder, I cannot do this work alone.

Having people who support you with their time and belief in the way you are showing up in the world matters more than I can express.

During one of our annual fundraising days, , I had some amazing people who raised their hands to support.

ASKING FOR MONEY IS NOT EASY, AND ONE OF THE MOST HUMBLING ACTIONS THAT HAPPENS AT A NONPROFIT, and I asked these folks to add this experience to their life journey, and they did not shy away. They leaned in, spoke up, ran up, and educated people on Creative Nomads and why they were willing to go to bat for us.

I am grateful, so grateful for the beautiful people orbiting our organization.

We are so grateful to announce that Creative Nomads raised over $16K with over 100 donors during !

Thank you to our Champions who enthusiastically asked their friends and family to make donations, those who took the time to donate their treasure to us, everyone who reposted and shared our asks, and to for continuing to host this special day that impacts not only the organizations receiving the funds, but the people who are the recipients of our labors of love.

Please remember that grassroots organizations, especially Black-led organizations, are most often not well-funded. This will not be the last time we ask for donations to help us purchase art supplies, pay facilitators, feed families, and more. So have grace with us and continue to support the orgs that are making a difference in your community and the world.

Another block complete, Comrades!

Creative Nomads is proud to celebrate the completion of our **third block** of hand-painted planters in partnership with the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore.

What began as a row of gray concrete planters is becoming a vibrant corridor of color, movement, and creativity, one block at a time. Every brushstroke represents our belief that public spaces should inspire, welcome, and reflect the energy of the people who move through them every day.

Over the past several weeks, we've watched pedestrians stop to admire the artwork, workers pause to take photos, visitors ask questions, and drivers honk and wave as our artists transformed these everyday planters into bold works of public art. Those moments remind us that art has the power to change not only how a space looks, but how it feels.

A huge thank you to the incredible artists, volunteers, our admin team, and the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore for trusting Creative Nomads to help reimagine downtown through creativity.

And we're not finished yet...

More planters are waiting to be transformed, and we can't wait to continue bringing even more vibrancy to Baltimore.
