AMERICAN VISIONARY ART MUSEUM (AVAM) is America’s official national museum and education center for self-taught, intuitive artistry. The 1.1-acre wonderland campus includes 3 renovated historic industrial buildings that house wonders created by farmers, housewives, mechanics, retired folk, the homeless, as well as the occasional neurosurgeon–all inspired by the fire within. Using materials from roots to toothpicks, the visionary transforms dreams and loss into powerful works of art. Museum and store hours: 10am-5pm, Wednesday-Sunday

Still looking fabulous…even when they’re not feeling their best. ❤️‍🩹

AVAM’s beloved poodles, Fifi and Baby Fifi, are in need of some major TLC! After years of pedaling through parades, splashing through the Inner Harbor during KSR, and charming crowds across Baltimore, it’s time for a trip to the “vet.” Will you help us get our girls the major tune-ups they need to get back on their feet? 🛠️🐾

Thank you so much to all who came out on a rainy Saturday morning for another fabulous parade! It was easy to see how much love was poured into each companion’s ensemble, proving that every pet is an A-list celebrity to their human. ❤️

Join us for Stories and Stitches: Community Art Share Night on Wednesday, November 4 from 6–9 PM, and take part in an unforgettable evening filled with inspiration, creativity, and connection through the art of textile storytelling. ❤️

Inspired by AVAM’s powerful exhibition “Esther and the Dream of One Loving Human Family,” Storycloth artworks designed by members of our community will be displayed and discussed, allowing us to embrace each other’s unique experiences through the power of art.

In partnership with Art and Remembrance, the evening will include time to explore AVAM’s galleries, followed by an opportunity to hear from the artists directly about their storycloth creations.

👉 Want to create a Storycloth of your own for this event? Join us for our next free workshop at Global Refuge on October 15, located at 700 Light St, Baltimore, MD.
