We’re proud to have signed letters at Hopkins this week, through Hopkins Feminists Club and Inter-Asian Council at Johns Hopkins University - IAC, and we’re proud of showing solidarity with those protesting and standing for justice in Baltimore through our donation to BALT a few days ago. However, we know there’s still work to be done, especially within the capacity of our competition itself. We intentionally took time to think through actionable steps we can implement during Dil Se 2021 to ensure that we recognize the prevalence of anti-black tendencies within both the South Asian Community, and the Desi Dance Community, and we look forward to organizing a competition that is as safe and inclusive as possible next spring.
