Our resident artist Alecia Joy Alecia Joy has been at the shop for 9 years and 316 days, completing a 2 year apprenticeship under Dave Wah. The majority of her work focuses on tattooing but she is also a printmaker, painter and ceramicist. Alecia’s work uses bold contrast balanced by delicate details, with dramatic curves to emphasize the contouring of each placement. Every tattoo is uniquely tailored to fit the clients shape while thoughtfully incorporating specific requests. She loves heavy patterns and can’t get enough of vases, flowers or animals. Inspiration is pulled from all around, but she often finds references while gardening, watching sci-fi movies, eroticas, searching through vintage/antiques, and playing with her dog, cat & snake.
She frequently travels all over the country to tattoo and explore, but no where else does it like Baltimore.
Alecia views tattooing as an empowering form of self expression and hopes to go above and beyond every clients expectations.
