Sometimes it seems like it takes a few tries before the photos I post are seen by the right people. I’m so proud of these pieces and I’m doing my best to get them out there! I would love to do more along the same lines.

I drove all the way across the country for the second time this year, and while the way back was fun, I could gladly go my whole life without ever doing that again. I’m here for the foreseeable future, and back Black Serpents DTLA in DTLA making tattoos again!
My books are open for October and November. I’m planning to keep booking on an intermittent basis- opening for a month or two and then closing to focus on drawing and tattooing before opening again.
It’s funny when a thing like this happens and people ask “Why?” There are so many ways to explain the last year of my life, and stories to tell. They would all be a little bit true- true from one perspective or one point in time- but none of them grasping the entire reality of the situation. Did I want to spend time with my family? Take a much needed break from a fast paced life? End up almost joining a cult, only to realize that the life I had was pretty great all along? Did I come back to be with my love? Do I mean the art, LA, or a woman? Did I grow through these experiences? Or do I just want to live.
There is some truth in all of these, and yet it’s not possible to get the full story without being there. Even I am fuzzy on some of the details. Maybe I’ll write a book one day. For now, a very clear path has been laid before me. Try as I may to think my way out of it, I always seem to end up back here, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I hope to be seeing some of you back in the chair soon, hear about how your year has unfolded, and share some stories about mine- all while making art.

I’m back in LA and it looks like I’ll be staying for the foreseeable future! Everything is business as usual- I’ll pick up right where I left off 6 months ago. I’m taking new appointments, so please send me your ideas if you’ve been waiting and you’re interested!
One thing I will continue doing is booking appointments for a month or two at a time and then closing my books until the next time. I found that to be really helpful for my workflow. Right now, I’m booking October and November. All ideas are welcome and I would love to hear them.

I believe these skeletons are in chronological order- can you see how my style changed over time? The last two in the carousel (which are the first two chronologically) are 𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐇 𝐔𝐋𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐇 designs. I naturally incorporated some of those elements in my later work.
