Sand enrichment helps the lesser hedgehog tenrec ambassadors stay clean by absorbing excess oils, removing grime, and exfoliating their skin. Judging by this group session, everyone got the memo.

Today, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of our brand new red panda habitat—a major milestone in the exciting reimagining of Main Valley here at the Zoo! We were honored to once again welcome an incredible group of guests, from generous donors to city and state representatives, who joined us in marking this special occasion. Their support, along with our entire community, helped make this project possible.

After months of construction and anticipation, this vibrant new home is officially complete, and the wait is almost over. Starting tomorrow, you can visit the red pandas in their brand new habitat! We can’t wait for you to meet them and watch as they explore their new home. 🐾
