I am coordinating this fundraiser at my 9 to 5. Women's Housing Coalition provides individuals and families with permanent supportive housing. Last year we kept about 140 people off the streets and out of shelters. This quarterly speaker series "Conversations: The Lived Baltimore Experience is happening next Thursday, March 25th. Kevin Shird is our first speaker, and you want to hear his story of how he went from a young drug dealer on Baltimore's streets to 12 years of incarceration, back to Baltimore after his release as an author and advocate, and then to the West Coast to run his own production company.
