THANK YOU to all the performers and auditors who joined us last weekend! We'll be back at it in June, but first here are some numbers from this round:
Auditions seen: 136
Theater companies: 24
Individual directors/producers: 4
As usual, our audition slots were fully booked in advance. But also as usual, we were able to accommodate some walk-ins, filling vacancies created by no-shows. Note to actors: Yes, we do notify the auditing theater companies about performers who no-show! Be mindful of your reputation and cancel if you can't keep your appointment.
For the first time, we had more walk-in performers than we were able to see. Several folks who waited until the last hour on Sunday night had to be turned away. If they had come earlier, we probably would have been able to see most or all of them.
And our group of auditing companies and individuals keeps growing. We had to add more chairs last minute!
The BSSC is excited and proud of this semiannual event, and we can't wait to share details about the next one this summer. Stay tuned!
