As I prepare to complete my term as VP of Marketing for AMA Baltimore on July 1, I've been reflecting on what an incredible year it's been! 💙
When we set out to evolve our social media strategy, the goal was never simply to post more content—it was to create content that people actually wanted to engage with. By focusing on authentic storytelling, community-first conversations, and highlighting the incredible people behind Baltimore's marketing community, we achieved some amazing results:
📈 Grew our social media audience by nearly 20%, expanding our social media community to more than 6,200 followers.
💬 Increased monthly interactions by 248%, including more than 1,400% growth on Instagram.
👀 Increased monthly impressions by 95%, nearly doubling our visibility.
🔁 Boosted content sharing by 1,100% and reactions by more than 3,100%.
⚡ Increased content production by 30%+ while improving overall engagement and performance.
Perhaps what I'm most proud of is that every bit of this growth was achieved organically. We didn't rely on paid social campaigns or advertising dollars - we built a stronger community through authentic storytelling, meaningful engagement, and consistent content. In a world where many organizations pay millions of dollars for reach, these results prove the value of a thoughtful organic strategy.
For those curious about the data, the metrics compare our monthly performance at the beginning and end of the reporting period - not cumulative totals. By the end, AMA Baltimore was consistently generating nearly 3,000 interactions and more than 20,000 impressions every month.
The biggest lesson? Social media isn't about broadcasting - it's about building community.
I'm incredibly proud of what our board, volunteers, sponsors, members, and guests have built together. Thank you to everyone who liked, commented, shared, attended an event, volunteered, or simply helped make AMA Baltimore such a vibrant community.
As this chapter comes to a close, I'm excited for what's ahead. I can't share the details just yet, but I can say this: the journey isn't over, and I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to build, create, and connect with everyone!
Cheers to another year of creativity, collaboration, and proving that great marketing starts with genuine human connection! 💙
