The Green Globe Theatre, which works out of Breath of God Lutheran Church in Baltimore City, is a local theatre established in 2016 by a group college graduates interested in creating a sustainable future. The Green Globe aims to use environmentally-friendly systems to reduce it’s imprint on the environment. Many of the Green Globe’s founding members come from community college and state universit

y backgrounds, both of which rely heavily on resting production and design elements throughout their seasons. The use and reuse of standard size platforms and flat, costumes, props, and other elements will reduce the amount of new material that we consume. It is our hope to drastically reduce our own personal energy consumption by 2018 by creating a completely self sustainable space.

Has quarantine from the Covid-19 plague got you bored... out of your mind? Well, NEVERMORE!

It is our immensely creepy and incredibly peculiar pleasure to announce a new weekly online series presented by the Green Globe Theatre Company: “Green Globe After Dark: Boos and Booze!”

Throughout the month of October, you can watch FREE re-enactments on our brand new YouTube channel of some of the most scarily enjoyable stories of Baltimore treasure Edgar Allan Poe performed for you by actors who are half-inebriated and half-improvising.

Join us on for episode 1 to meet miss Annabel Lee....

Come back for episode 2 to discover the Cask of Amontillado in the catacombs under Venice....

Return again for episode 3 to look upon the most macabre Masque of the Red Death....

And then finally, get your tricks-or-treats with our tremendously terrifying HALLOWEEN finale, the Tell-Tale Heart....

Gather all your ghouls for a night in (and maybe grab some Bohs!) and witness the woefully silly and not-at-all serious cases in question. It could be the most sensational event of the spooky season. You'll be mortified if you miss it.

The Green Globe Theatre has been closely monitoring COVID-19 and the affect it will have on public events. As some of you may know, many public venues are currently evaluating whether they should remain operational during this time.

As of today, March 12, 2020, The Green Globe Theatre will be postponing auditions and the production schedule for Medea until further notice.

We do not feel comfortable moving forward with our original projected timeline because we anticipate Maryland, the United States, and the world to be impacted by this pandemic on a greater level in the immediate future.

Please note, this is not a cancellation of Medea but a postponement. To keep up to date with future changes, please follow us on social media or visit us at www.greenglobetheatre.org.
