Vintage L&L Econo-Kiln K230 (7 cu. ft., 220V / 9100W / 41.7A). 3-section kiln with original manual controls for the 3 heating zones. Firebrick and elements look to be generally in good shape Verified element resistance: Middle section elements test healthy (~29 ohms), Top section has 1 good element (33.6 ohms) and 1 seemingly broken element needing replacement ($64 part from L&L). Was unable to test lower section elements. Features L&L's hard ceramic element channels for easy element replacement without damaging firebrick. It has not been test fired. Looks ideal for a simple, cheap restoration.

Good news, our phones are back and we have free clay!! We have a huge stock of old stiff #306 clay that we have been selling cheap for months but now it’s time to start giving it away… This is a cone 6-10 clay, so usable for cone 6 but it is not recommended for functional work. It is fully mature at cone 10 for dishware. Medium smooth texture and tan at cone 6 and nice reddish brown at cone 10 reduction. We will have it stacked up at the loading dock for people to grab until it’s all gone! Come and get it!

Kiln workshops are back!
We will be hosting our Kiln Basics Workshop at our Baltimore store on Sunday October 11th 2026 from 10am to 12pm.
This will cover choosing a kiln, electrical requirements, kiln placement, properly loading a kiln, programming and firing the kiln, kiln wash/cones/waxing/glazing and open to any questions you may have! $20 per spot.
(Our Alexandria Kiln Basics workshop will be Sunday November 15th 12pm-2pm)

We will also be having a Kiln Repair Workshop at our Baltimore location on Sunday October 11th 2026 from 1pm-4pm. $150 per spot.
