One of the best parts of being a Stampin' Up!® Demonstrator is being able to pre-order products before they launch. So, guess who will be playing with some new Hot Foiling Dies over the next few days? Yep -- get ready for more foiling projects. I think I have a problem... See that solid plate in the upper lefthand corner? That is a game changer, since it lets you use the "leftover foil" to make an image of the negative space. Check back soon for some new projects -- I am plugging in my Hot Foil machine now. 😘

What's better than 1 Hot Foil? Two Hot Foils! The background of this card has the Botanical Glow Hot Foil die in 2 different directions with 2 different foils. I used the Silver Hot Foil first, removed the foil sheet to see the design. I plugged the machine back in to re-heat the die, added Gold Hot Foil, turned the cardstock panel 180° and cranked it slowly through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I think this may be one of my favorites so far! The greeting is from the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies. The label die cuts are from the Sweet Words & Labels Dies (available in the US only), and another "faux bow" with my retired silver 1/8" metallic trim.

I believe in using what you have to create, and I have some retired Silver & Gold 1/8" Metallic Trim in my ribbon bin. So, I pulled it out to add a bow to this card. The silver blends perfectly with the new Silver Hot Foil, don't you think? A "Faux Bow" under the greeting looks so pretty.

Gold Hot Foiling does all the work on this card! I love the delicate look of these leaves, don't you? I used the dark side of the Peaceful Pine 2-Tone Cardstock and Basic White Cardstock for this card. The Botanical Glow Bundle includes this leafy Hot Foil Die and a beautiful leafy stamp that coordinates with it. I will play with combining the foil and the stamped images soon. Tell me -- do you prefer leaves or flowers? Or, both?

I just love the Classic Greetings Hot Foil dies that make these large greetings. They have been very popular, but are expected back in stock August 17. The Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil dies are smaller greeting dies, and the two of them together are a winning combination!

I used Peaceful Pine 2-Toned Cardstock for the "thinking of you" greeting and the layer to make a border. Basic White cardstock was used for everything else. 2-Tone Cardstock has a smoother feel to it, and is perfect for Hot Foiling. Regular Cardstock is also fine to use, but you may see some of the texture of the cardstock fibers in the foiling. Now is the time to stock up on paper -- select 2-tone Cardstock, Cardstock, and Designer Series Papers are on sale in August. But, hurry -- supply is limited.

Tonight's card features the Gold Hot Foil and the Gold Foil Sheets. I used Basic White cardstock, Gold Hot Foil, and the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die to make this lovely floral background cut at 3 3/4" x 5". I cut a piece of Gold Foil Sheet at 4" x 5 1/4" for the background layer. I made several die cuts in the center of this panel since it will be covered up anyway -- a perfect way to maximize your paper! The dies are part of the Sweet Words & Labels dies (US only). The greeting is from the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies. Of course, Stampin' Dimensionals were used to create some dimension. (When have you known me to NOT use Dimensionals? LOL). Let me know how you like the Gold Hot Foil in the comments below.

Here is the first project I made! I have to admit -- photographing cards with foil has been challenging, but, if you think this card is lovely in the photos, you should see it in real life! Silver Foil on the lighter side of Peaceful Pine 2-Tone cardstock is just stunning! Would you like to see a video of how to make this card? Let me know in the comments below.

Well, I think I am hooked on Hot Foiling! I cannot wait to create projects to share with you from these beauties. All of these products are available in my online store right now. I will definitely be ordering more foil when I place my next order.
