"We are a group of puppets launching our first ever square dance, by puppets for puppets. And we need your help!! We are seeking human dancers to dance with us."

An evening of square dancing with puppets!
--Come ready to dance and be silly
--Live puppet band and puppet caller
--No square dancing or puppeteering experience necessary
--Hand puppets provided but feel free to bring your own--**Please let us know when you buy your ticket whether you'll be bringing your own or not so we know how many to provide!**

Have an idea to pitch, a work in progress you want to get feedback on, or just seek creative community around puppetry?

What a parade!!! So much joy and creativity erupted on the streets of Baltimore this weekend! Thank you to ALL who participated in building and marching in the Stone Soup Community Puppet Parade (and to those who cheered us on along the way)! It took many hands, much dedication and a cooperative spirit to bring it to life—huge thanks to the incredible volunteer organizers of the parade Valeska Populoh, Nicole DeWald and Loam Nelson—we are so thankful for all you do for Black Cherry and the community! ♥️♥️♥️ More photos to come!

Donna Long (piano) and Joanna Clare (fiddle) perform a selection of O’Carolan music (Baroque Irish), along with some traditional Irish tunes. Expect to experience a wide range of emotions in this performance!

Join Friday May 29th at Black Cherry Puppet Theater to celebrate the launch of PJ Lombardo’s first collection of poetry, The Blue Cherub. Alongside the author, fellow Baltimoreans Rhea Ramakrishan, Devin Campbell and Ruby Mars will share their creative work, followed by a brief discussion and Q&A session hosted by Owen Edwards.
