The Sankofa Youth Arts Program effectively brings joy and professionalism to work with children by infusing the art forms of dance, storytelling, crafts, and song with language, math, logic, and science to improve the quality of education and life among young people. The Company began its African Study and Cultural Tour Program in 1996 to train its core base of performers. Since that time, Sankofa artists have reached a level of expertise that is unparalleled. As a testimony to its excellence, those trained by the Company are sought after by local art organizations and educational institutions.
