Meet 7G Bümin.

Baltimore-born producer, composer, DJ, and performer. His sound lives at the intersection of Afrobeats, Hip Hop, West African rhythms, and the wider African Diaspora.

He’s worked with Jidenna, D Smoke, and Mumu Fresh, and in 2025 composed music for Cartoon Network’s award-winning Iyanu series and Iyanu: The Age of Wonders.

But if you know 7G, you know the résumé only tells part of the story.

From behind the boards to the DJ booth to his larger-than-life stilt-walking performances, 7G brings a world of his own into the room.

And this Saturday, that world comes to Afro Social.

That’s the whole idea behind Afro Social. We wanted a room where showing up alone isn’t a problem, where the person next to you is already into it, and where nobody has to work at it.

What you’re seeing here is more than a party being put together.

It’s months of conversations, countless phone calls, late-night texts, early morning check-ins, Zoom meetings, in-person meetups, planning sessions, and a shared belief that Baltimore deserves something special.

As we get ready for the first large Afro Haus show in Baltimore, we’re overwhelmed with gratitude. Gratitude for every promoter who believed in the vision. Every DJ who said yes. Every partner who helped open doors. The venue that trusted us. The creatives who brought their talents. And most importantly, the people, the Afro Haus community that continues to show up, support, and grow with us.

Events like this don’t happen because of one person. They happen because an entire community decides to build something together.

There were long nights, early mornings, challenges, pivots, and moments when things felt impossible. But through collaboration, trust, and a shared love for music, culture, and connection, we made it here.

And now, as we gather during the powerful energy of the Lion’s Gate Portal on 8/8, we’re ready to create a moment that Baltimore will remember.
