Thank you, thank you, and thank YOU, to our volunteers, our venue (Fells Point Corner Theatre ), our performers, and YOU, for turning up and turning out at the very first Baltimore Tassel! We're mixing our sleep deprivation with gratitude and love here at the production team, and we wanted to share that with you. The Baltimore Tassel Variety Hour is exactly what it sounds like: a wildly unpredictable showcase where no two acts are anything alike. Spend the evening questioning your faith as Jesa Medders delivers a divine audience with God Himself, witness the existential crisis of a living pile of trash in Anchovetta's heartfelt blend of clowning, physical comedy, and experimental theater, and experience the magnetic stage presence of horror icon, wrestler, burlesque performer, and entertainment powerhouse Tha True Original GATA.

Join us Sunday, July 19 at 7:00 PM for an evening of bold, unforgettable comedy from two performers with singular voices and stories to tell.

Tarunika is a nonbinary brown d**e who will not let you forget it. A rising voice in the DC comedy scene, they've shared the stage with comics including Nico Carney, Winston Hodges, and Sureni Weerasekera, while performing across the country on the Here To P*e Trans Comedy Tour. Their sharp, personal stand up explores identity, community, and everyday life with confidence, honesty, and a whole lot of laughs.

Then, take a seat at Meemaw's table. A transgender biological mother of eight, grandmother of twenty one, "GG" to seventy five, and Ancestry.com's top contributor for ten years running, Meemaw is preparing for the church's Christmas in July barbecue, complete with unforgettable stories, original songs, questionable fudge recipes, and appearances from an ever growing cast of friends, family, and former lovers. Warm, wildly funny, and wonderfully absurd, Meemaw is a character you'll be talking about long after the show ends.

The rumors are true. The Confessional Show is leaving its home at the Church of Satire for one night only, and Baltimore Tassel is bringing the chaos to Fells Point Corner Theater on Sunday, July 19 at 5 PM.

This isn't your typical stand-up comedy show. Comics like Jake Leizear and Andrew Fake confess their most depraved thoughts, questionable decisions, and deeply embarrassing secrets, while "Not the Father" (creator James Finn) judges every confession with complete authority and absolutely no restraint. Add in unscripted reactions, audience participation, and enough public embarrassment to make everyone in the room feel a little better about themselves, and you've got one of the wildest comedy shows you'll ever see.

Closing out Saturday night at the Baltimore Tassel, join us at 10:00 PM on July 18 for a showcase of comedians who thrive on the delightfully unexpected. DMV favorite Arman Analouei brings infectious energy and sharp observations honed on stages from Virginia to New York City, with appearances at festivals including Harco, Meadowlands, and Good Karma. Heather delivers a wonderfully nerdy blend of clever stand-up, relentless puns, and original comedy songs performed with her trusty mandolin, creating a set that's equal parts witty and wonderfully offbeat.

Comedian Jenny Cavallero brings a fresh new perspective to the comedy stage that’s just as hilarious as it is honest. In her debut hour, Jenny shares her experience as a q***r disabled person and wheelchair user, navigating a world that doesn’t want to let her sit down.
