Join us for a special paint night at The Whimsy that will raise funds for the House Rabbit Society of MD/DC/VA!
In this class led by artist Marisa Canino, participants will create their own unique abstract painting using acrylic paints and other mixed media on a 9x12" canvas. They will then add the silhouette of a rabbit (three design options will be provided) and use the sgraffito technique of scratching into wet paint to add finishing details. This project is suitable for participants of any skill level, including complete beginners, and can be enjoyed by adults as well as children 8+.
This class is a fundraiser for the House Rabbit Society of MD/DC/VA and a portion of each registration will go to the organization. Funds raised will go directly to supporting their mission of rescuing abandoned rabbits from local shelters, finding them lifelong homes, providing guidance and education on rabbit care to the public, and providing medical care to foster rabbits. The rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization.
