Happy Ethiopian New Year!!
(September 11, 2022 is Meskrem 1, 2015 Ethiopian New Year Day)
So why am I so passionate about art?
One of my first memories of doing art was a cemetery in a landscape and it made me feel curious. Now, I don’t know why!! I remember asking my dad to go to an art academy right after finishing middle school. Not understanding what it meant to me, my dad’s answer was "No!" I realized that sometimes, our parents don't see the world the same way we see it. It can be because of culture, education, age difference, and not knowing or understanding are some of the factors. Since I was a teenager, I never went back to art until 2013 by surprise!!
In 2013, I had a chance to take one of my life coaching clients to an art center after she received an invite to paint with other artists.
The following week I joined the group because there were a lot of interesting artists.
After a few visits to the art center, my hunger and passion for art resurrected, and little by little I started creating.
Now as an adult, I am into all kinds of arts! I paint whatever my brain tells me to paint, and I am following through on this long passion of mine.
