I recently started anxiety meds that work for me for the first time! Downside they wear off to fast and my window of tolerance for my raw anxiety has decreased from being on the medication. So for a few hours everyday I'm an anxious mess.

I decided to do what says in "America Anonymous" and "use it creatively" and create this piece.

This piece was inspired by a lyric in a song called "Mind of Mine" where he says "Who the hell have I become? Counting hours in between my doses? A jaded man with shakey hands..."

Counting hours on shaking hands,

Lost in thoughts,

I've lost command.

Time churns at a sluggish pace

As my heart begins to race,

Counting minutes on shaking hands,

I've lost who I am.

The seconds blur beneath my skin,

A thousand thoughts are closing in,

The room spins, the walls close in,

My hands still shake, my pulse runs wild,

I just need to wait a little while.

I got to take part in a really cool opportunity earlier this week to be the featured artist at a local vampyre event. The Mobtown Vampyres Town Hall was my first time speaking about my art to a large-ish group of people but it went well.

Mobility wise this was one of the hardest things I've done since becoming disabled.

It was made possible only by the power of friendship and a team of people who helped me with everything from prep work & pushing me, to carrying my chair up stairs, holding my crutches, and even spotting me when I had to do the stairs.

I had help every wobbly step (or roll 😂) of the way and that's amazing and the real power of our beautiful community.

I don't know when I'll be able to do something like this again and man am I paying for it but it was worth it.

Shout out to everyone who helped make it possible for me to attend.
