As a fellow Baltimore film and arts organization, we are excited to support another local festival that gives filmmakers a place to share their work and gives all of us a chance to discover something new, meet up, and spend some time in the neighborhood.

🎭 FREE EVENT TONIGHT 📚 A Record of Monstrous Falsehoods: A First Look

Join us tonight, Tuesday, September 29, at 7 PM for a first look at A Record of Monstrous Falsehoods: The State of Maryland v. the Black Panther Party (formerly The Records & The Ruse).

📝 Researcher, writer, and director Andrea Conte has spent the last decade digging through thousands of pages of state records to investigate government operations targeting the Baltimore Panthers and the case for reparative action in Maryland.

This project is part of the inaugural Parkway Artist Residency, supported by the Mellon Foundation. The project is also a 2026 Rubys Artist Grant recipient.

After the preview, Conte and members of the cast will be joined by Dr. Raymond Winbush, Dr. David O. Fakunle II, Dana Cole, and Brian Sessions for a conversation about the project, its history, and its impact on the community.

🌧️ This rainy Sunday feels like a pretty good excuse to head to the theater.

Join us at the Parkway today at 4 PM for Traces of Home, presented in partnership with as part of Aquí Seguimos: A Legacy of Love and a History of Resistance.

🎬 Traces of Home follows a young filmmaker as she speaks with her Mexican mother and Palestinian father about their journeys to the United States. Through family stories, grief, generational trauma and reconciliation, the film becomes a meditation on loss, home and the things we carry with us.

After opening the 2026 Maryland Film Festival, A Life in Art returns to the Parkway! The documentary follows renowned art historian, curator, artist, educator, and longtime MICA Dean Dr. Leslie King-Hammond (Dr. Leslie King Hammond).

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with co-directors Rassan Hammond and Ben Baker-Lee ( Ben Baker-Lee) . Hosted by the MICA MFA Filmmaking Program (M I C A F I L M 🍭).

🎮 Game Escape is BACK!🦀

Last year, more than 250 people filled the Parkway to play locally made indie games and meet the people creating them. On September 26, Game Escape (presented by IGDA Baltimore) returns with 14 independent games created by developers in and around Maryland, plus live video game music from the Baltimore Gamer Symphony Orchestra .
