Off I go to the Waldheim on lovely Big Moose Lake for my annual end-of-summer week helping out with the family business! This year I'll be cleaning cottages and working in the kitchen rather than waiting tables. This will give me some free time to figure out and finalize a whole bunch of back end of the framing biz stuff that I've been putting off!🤪

I'll be out of the shop the week of August 24-28. Hope to see you on the other side!

Here's a cute, little fly fisherman letter opener!

The customer wanted it mounted and framed so it could be leaned against the wall on the shelf. A couple of stitches to attach it to the mat and there you go!

We can frame just about anything. What interesting thing would you like framed?!

I'll be heading out soon for a long weekend getaway with some friends. The Gallery will be closed Friday afternoon the 7th and Monday the 10th, then back to business as usual. I hope you have a fun weekend too and we'll see you next week!

If you're in visiting the Central Adirondacks this summer, stop at the Arthouse on your way through Inlet! There are soooo many gorgeous, handmade items to peruse. I'm sure you'll find a few things that would make lovely gifts, or things that you just can't live without!

There are so many different ways to frame that last little piece of paper that means so much! Verification that you have dreamed big, worked hard (and probably spent a lot of money) to achieve your goals, with high hopes for a bright future!

I like to make each Certificate or Diploma unique by using the school colors, textured or metallic mats, and a frame that suits the recipient or place where it will hang.

The guys bought the contents of a cabinet shop and I confiscated the tool that I never knew I needed!

It's a guillotine type miter trimmer which shaves off 1/64 of an inch to really perfect the join. I tested it on a frame that I had to take apart and reglue, and it cleaned it up so nicely. It's so much better than using my chopsaw (which is not quite square)!

I still love that I get to cut and paste and play with tools every day...

My new corner samples of the Pompeya line from Studio Moulding have arrived! They're a chunky 1 3/8" wide and I just love the Deep Rose Gold!
