Counterfeit Phil

Big thank you to Ride Waves Entertainment and Toast Coffee + Kitchen for having me back in Long Beach this past Saturday! 🎸☕️

I always enjoy playing this room, and really appreciate the opportunity to be there again and spend another afternoon doing what I love.

And thank you to everyone who stopped in, listened, sang along, came over to say hi, or just enjoyed some music with your coffee. It was great meeting some new people along the way.

Thanks again to Ride Waves and Toast for continuing to support live local music. Hope to do it again soon! 🎶

Great night on the water with some good friends and fellow Long Island musicians - Steve from Steve and the Not Steves, Harvest With Liz from Sharp Violet, and James H from Carve A Path.

Fun fact: Steve gave me my first Counterfeit Phil gig way back in October 2022. So technically, all of this is his fault. 😂

Still rockin n boatin four years later 🤘🚤🎶

Well, I did it - I joined IG.

For my first trick, I thought I'd edit a little demo reel together using “Freedom! ’90” from a recent gig at Bunker Hill - a little inside look at how one voice becomes three, and how we eventually get around to actually starting the song.

George Michael always had a way of making “simple” pop songs considerably less simple than they sound. This one's a lot of fun to build live. 🎸

Just want to thank everyone for coming out on Saturday and for the insanely awesome response - it means a lot. Thank you Steven Schopp, as usual for the fun gig and to Wh***ey Rocks and Tc Kross for hosting the event. Honorable mentions to all the bands: The Disappointmentz, Sharp Violet, Steve and the Not Steves, Breezy and the Blazers, Resist The Temptation - had a blast rocking it with you - and course, The Moonchild Project for joining me for a few songs. See y'all next time!
