Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon at our Teen Craft Club today at 4pm! 🕰️ We're super excited to announce that we'll be diving into the world of sand art, where you'll get to unleash your creativity and create your very own unique masterpiece! 🎨 All the necessary supplies will be provided, so you don't need to worry about a thing - but, as always, we do have limited quantities available. 📦 This amazing program is specifically designed for teens aged 12-18, so gather your friends and get ready for an unforgettable experience! 👫 See you there and let's get creative! 🎉

Join us in the Auditorium on Saturday, September 5th at 11 AM for a very special gathering of the "Hill Sisters": DI Sharman and Glenda Rankin and Mike McCoy, Executive Director of Kern County Museum, who will be sharing insights about the historic Lopez-Hill House along with Filmmaker Chuck Barbee, who will be screening his documentary about it's history titled, The House with Three Lives. Ernie Lewis and Norm Hamlet will be performing a short set of three songs about the house and all the memories conveying why it was so important to preserve.

Let's learn to read beyond the screen! 🎬 Media Literacy Club is a new adult program where we analyze how media shapes our thoughts, fears, and biases through hidden messages. 💬 We will decode these negative messages to become smart, informed media consumers! 💡

Our first club session will take place next Friday, Sept. 4th at 4:00pm. We'll screen a short documentary about advertisements, followed by a guided discussion and a craft activity. Free snacks and drinks will be provided! 🍿
