🎶 Over 100 Years of Live Music in Bakersfield.

In 1920, a group of music lovers in Bakersfield had a simple but powerful idea — bring world-class live performances to their community and make them accessible to everyone. Over a century later, the Bakersfield Community Concert Association is still doing exactly that.

Through the decades, thousands of Bakersfield families have made our Sunday afternoon concerts a cherished tradition — first dates, anniversary celebrations, first concert experiences for children who grew up to bring their own kids through the doors of Harvey Auditorium.

This season, we're proud to continue that legacy with one of the most exciting lineups we've ever presented. Five extraordinary performers. Five Sunday afternoons. And a community that has shown up for live music for over 100 years.

What happens when three classically trained string musicians decide to throw out the rulebook? You get Simply Three — and nothing quite prepares you for what they do on stage.

Julian Nguyen, Nick Villalobos, and Zack Clark have been captivating audiences worldwide since 2010, reimagining music from artists as diverse as Adele, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Michael Jackson, and Gershwin — all through the power of strings alone. The result is a genre-defying experience that feels equally at home in a concert hall or an arena.

Their reach goes far beyond the stage — Rolling Stone, The Huffington Post, and Ryan Seacrest have all taken notice, and chart-topping artists like OneRepublic have openly raved about their work.
