Today, country music lost one of its brightest lights.

Dolly Parton was more than a country music legend. She was a songwriter, a storyteller, a trailblazer, and a piece of the very fabric that makes country music what it is.

For generations, her songs have poured out of jukeboxes, filled dance floors, been sung from h***y-tonk stages, and turned into those songs everybody in the bar somehow knows every word to.

From “Jolene” and “Coat of Many Colors” to “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You,” Dolly gave country music songs that will live far beyond any one generation.

Here at Roosters H***ytonk, we have a special appreciation for the artists who built the foundation of the music and culture we get to celebrate every week. Dolly will forever be part of that foundation.

The rhinestones may have lost a little sparkle today, but her music never will.

Rest easy, Dolly. Thank you for the songs, the stories, the laughter, and for showing the world just how big a heart country music can have.

Country music will always love you.

Coming down from Portland, Oregon, Robert Henry & The Repeaters are bringing a high-energy, 3-hour set packed with original music and classic country favorites, heavily influenced by the legendary Bakersfield Sound of Merle Haggard, Buck Owens and more.

Robert Henry has shared the stage with Chris Young, Shenandoah, and Vincent Neil Emerson, recorded the duet “Take Me” with Georgette Jones, and has been featured by Saving Country Music.
