Offered here is a screen-used real estate sign from the 2011 film Fright Night, used by Toni Collette as Jane Brewster.

In the film, Jane saves Charlie (Anton Yelchin) from Jerry (Colin Farrell) by using the wooden post attached to this sign as a makeshift stake. Jerry then writhes in pain in the middle of the road while Charlie, Amy, and Jane make their escape.

The sign shows heavy production use, including the original holes where it was attached to the wooden post, along with traces of stage blood still present.

This piece, along with other screen-used Fright Night props, will be coming soon to the Anchored Props website. Stay tuned.

🛹🩸 Evil Ed’s screen-matched skateboard from the 2011 remake of Fright Night starring Anton Yelchin. Original prop used on screen, complete with the wear, graphics, and details seen in the film. A great piece from one of the standout modern horror remakes

A lot of movie props look cool.
Very few come with a story this ridiculous. 🐟

This is the stand-in rubber goldfish used for Donnie Azoff during the filming of Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street. The original plan was for Jonah Hill to use a real goldfish for the scene, with PETA supervising on set to make sure the fish was never harmed and immediately removed from his mouth after each take.

But after multiple takes — and the goldfish repeatedly “relieving itself” in Jonah Hill’s mouth — the production decided enough was enough. The live fish was scrapped, this rubber stand-in took its place, and the final goldfish was added digitally in post.

One of the strangest practical props tied to one of the most unforgettable scenes in modern film. 🎬

“Sometimes dead is better.” ⚰️

One of the darkest pieces in our collection — the screen used SFX noose from Mary Lambert’s Pet Sematary (1989), used in the unforgettable Missy Dandridge scene.

This modified rope noose came from the personal collection of John Campopiano, director of Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary, and was gifted to him by a local crew member from Hancock, Maine during production of the documentary.

The detail that blows my mind: the original metal wire is still woven into the rope, used to connect the prop to a shoulder harness worn by the actor on screen.

While building a display stand for the original Peltzer Power Hammer, I made the questionable decision to see if it still worked. 🔨⚡

I got curious about the old air compressor fittings and tubing, hooked it up to the ol’ compressor, and hit the switch…

…and somehow, after 42 years, the thing still runs.

The actual original Peltzer Power Hammer invention prop from Gremlins (1984). Rand Peltzer would absolutely approve of this terrible idea. 😂

Seen early in , the “Peltzer Egg Cracker” was operated on screen by Zach Galligan as Billy cautiously attempts to use yet another one of his father’s inventions.

Now part of the Anchored Props collection, this screen used and matched prop came directly from the personal collection of director Joe Dante.
