as we close out our 5th season, it feels like the perfect time to finally share something that has been on my heart for a long time.
UCLA Dance Academy is officially becoming
ICON DANCE CENTER๐๐
these past five seasons have meant more to me than i could ever fully put into words. UCLA Dance Academy became so much more than just a studio name, it became a home. a place filled with friendships, growth, laughter, memories, and dancers who helped shape this studio into what it is today.
after recital yesterday, i found myself reflecting on just how special this journey has been.
watching these dancers take the stage, seeing their confidence, their joy, and the way they support each other was such a reminder that this has never just been about dance classes or what happens on stage for a few minutes.
itโs about the impact dance has on people.
itโs about the shy little dancer who slowly comes out of their shell.
the friendships that turn into family.
the confidence built through hard work, discipline, and believing in yourself.
the feeling of having somewhere you belong.
and honestly, this studio has changed me too.
there were moments over the years where i questioned myself and wondered if what i was building truly mattered. but this season reminded me exactly why i started all of this in the first place.
UCLA Dance Academy built the foundation for everything we are, and that heart will never change. but as we continue to grow, i wanted a name that fully represents the bigger vision behind all of it.
because being an icon isnโt about being perfect.
itโs about inspiring confidence, making an impact, and becoming who you were meant to be.
