The Green Team sorted through approximately 12,347 pounds of waste during Rooster Walk 16!

Of that total:
♻️ 666 lbs of aluminum cans
♻️ 408 lbs of plastic
♻️ 1,640 lbs of cardboard
🌱 2,397 lbs of compost
♻️ 1,260 lbs of glass
♻️ Approximately 800 lbs of scrap metal*

Thanks to the hard work of our Green Team, volunteers, vendors, and attendees, Rooster Walk achieved a 57.997% sorted diversion rate. Even when including unsorted waste, our diversion rate remained above 24.388%.

A special thank you to EMI Recycling for partnering with Rooster Walk and helping us increase our landfill diversion efforts. Their support plays an important role in keeping more material out of the landfill and putting it back into the recycling stream.

*Scrap metal totals are preliminary and will be confirmed after final weigh-ins at recycling facilities.

Fifteen years. Ten years. Five years.
That's a lot of late nights, favorite sets, new discoveries, old friends, campfires, laughs, hugs, and memories made at Rooster Walk.

This year we celebrated some of the incredible people who have made Rooster Walk part of their lives year after year. Thank you for believing in what we're building and for helping create the welcoming, community-driven spirit that makes this place so special.
