✨ Join Us Tonight to Celebrate a Beautiful Life ✨
Tonight we come together to honor and celebrate the life of Kathi Soria, a woman whose love, spirit, and passion touched so many hearts. 💜

In her honor, this will be a joyful evening filled with music, community, and a special dance/singing performances by Ballet Folklorico Esperanza and recording artist Rachel Villa, just the way she would have wanted.

🕊️ It is with deep sorrow and profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived that we announce the passing of Kathi Soria, beloved founder, mentor, mother, wife, grandmother/great-grandmother and cultural visionary.
✨Kathi Soria was the heart and soul behind the creation of Ballet Folklorico Esperanza. Through her passion, dedication, and unwavering belief in the power of culture, she built more than a dance group, she created a community, a family, and a safe space where generations of youth could connect to their heritage with pride and purpose.
🇲🇽 Her love for Mexican folklorico dance was evident in every step, every rehearsal, and every performance. Kathi poured her spirit into honoring not only the beauty of the dance, but also the history, traditions, and cultural roots behind it. She believed deeply in uplifting young people and giving them a sense of identity, belonging, and hope. Because of her vision, countless students found their voice, their strength, and their love for culture.
💃🏽 🕺🏽 Kathi’s legacy lives on in every BFE dancer who steps onto the stage, every skirt that twirls, and every heart that beats with pride. Her impact reaches far beyond choreography, she helped shape lives, instilled values, and preserved traditions that will continue to be honored for generations to come.
🌌 She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, her passion, and her unwavering commitment to honoring and sharing the beauty of our culture.
🌹 Though she is no longer with us physically, her spirit will forever guide Ballet Folklorico Esperanza and all those who had the honor of knowing her.
👑 A Celebration of Life for Kathi Soria will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Avondale City Hall Conference Center, located at 11490 W. Civic Center Dr., Avondale, AZ 85323. Please join us as we honor the life of Kathi Soria.
We honor her life. We carry her legacy forward. We dance in her memory.
