Not only was it a really relaxing build, but it also gave me some great inspiration and ideas for our next castle project. My favorite part has to be the new weeping willow tree technique — I absolutely love how LEGO designed it. The movement and texture of the branches turned out so good, and I already can’t wait to put my own spin on a few of these in future builds.

And can we talk about the gnome?! He is so cute and such a fun little detail.

I’d highly recommend this set if you want to learn more about SNOT (Studs Not On Top) building techniques, especially for structures. The instructions were super easy to follow, and while the cottage is simple, it’s honestly so beautiful in person. One of those builds that’s just enjoyable from start to finish. Lego set 11372
