Atlantian Films Cancer Survivors Who Can Foundation is supported by Atlantian Films, LLC and is the newest Film Stu Cancer Survivors Who Can!

Since 2012, Brian Spectre has dedicated his time to playing an instrumental role in raising awareness for the needs of cancer survivors. For more than two decades Brian Spectre has been successfully battling cancer. The long-term Effects of chemotherapy and radiation have begun to take a toll on his body, frequently impairing his mobility; but his passion for film-making has kept his spirits up an

d helped him remain strong. This cause remains close to his heart and is the catalyst for his involvement in Cancer Survivors Who Can (CSWC) Foundation. Today, Brian is the spokesperson for the CSWS Foundation, a non-profit offering financial assistance to those families with members battling cancer, providing jobs and pride through creative arts, as well as offering college scholarships to students with cancer and survivors in the field of film (in the arts). By collaborating with various non-profits organizations nationwide, Brian wants to extend CSWC’s mission of improving quality of life for cancer patients and their families by providing financial assistance from the proceeds of various movies generated/created/ produced by Atlanitan Films, patient advocacy , counseling, film art therapy and education. While research is imperative to finding a cure for this devastating disease, Brian’s objective is to shed light on an equally important part of the fight: the critical day to day survival needs of patients as they undergo treatment and the potential life changing effects of having cancer. CSWC Foundation completes the circle of care for patients by providing help and offering hope to meet those needs.
“After personally seeing the effects of cancer in my own situation not only from a physical and financial sense but how it affected my career and potential for future work (employment),” Brian said “I felt compelled to step forward and do something that highlights the unique needs of cancer patients across the country.” Being the spokesperson for CSWC Foundation, I have the opportunity to be a voice of inspiration and strength for the vulnerable – and to show the world that Cancer Survivors actually Can! There is hope, and that is the message I want to share.”
Atlantian Films produces action, adventure, drama, sci-fi, and documentary features. The company was founded by Brian Spectre, a 20-plus-year cancer survivor of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer. He now teaches cancer survivors film production free of charge and helps them get back into the working world after serious chemo and
radiation treatments. By exploring creative outlets, such as movie production, they are able to rebuild confidence and come into their own in artistic abilty. While many of their former employers made excuses not to rehire these cancer survivors, Atlantian Films always has its doors open. In 2012, Atlantian was approached by two Hollywood studios to make Mindscapes the movie. Brian has decided to keep the entire production here in Connecticut instead.
