Besides our Wednesday and Saturday yoga/excercise classes, The Tree House Studio will once again be offering Tai Chi and Qigong beginning in June. We invite you to join us! Read below for more information.
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese healing art that focuses on a slow relaxed pattern of movements. It has been medically proven to reduce stress, increase flexibility, enhance energy and improve conditions such as high blood pressure, arthritis, asthma, stomach ailments and heart problems. It focuses on proper breathing and stretching. . The pattern of movements is done standing and moving across the floor. It is called “The Dance of the Spirit”
Classes: Mondays, June 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 - Noon- 1:00 p.m.

Chinese Medical Qigong is a type of individual bodywork focusing on techniques for preventing, healing and strengthening. The exercises focus on strengthening ones organs and healing illnesses by stimulating the body’s energy flow. Qigong can lower blood pressure, increase the body’s ability to use oxygen efficiently, boost the immune system, slow the aging process and increase brain chemicals that reduce stress and anxiety.
The Objectives of this class is to learn specific energy absorbing techniques and techniques for strengthening the Internal Organs. You will also learn a Qigong pattern of 18 movements. We will use a combination of breath, movement, meditation and sound.

Instructor Nancy Bronson was certified in 1999 as a Medical Qigong/Tai Chi Instructor by Chinese Master Shou-Yu Liang and Mr. Wen-Ching Wu. She studied the Yang Style Tai Chi Short Form under Chinese Master Wangun Tang of the American Tai Chi Ch’uan and Health Association and is a Certified Instructor in Tai Chi for Arthritis through Dr. Paul Lam of the Tai Chi for Health Institute.
