The Battle of the Bands, Incorporated Benefiting Veterans Projects and Charities others will be held throughout the year. this organization is 100% volunteer operated.

The goal of this organization is to raise funds to help Veterans projects and Charities and honor our first responders.. This will be largely accomplished through outdoor entertainment events that will focus on bringing community together for a good cause. One such event in VET JAM ( formerly the Battle of the Bands) which is held the first Saturday in March on Main Street in Avon Park, Florida is

the primary event. Funds raised (minus operating costs) will be allocated to special projects that honor American veterans, or charities that can PROVE that at least (90% of what they receive DIRECTLY benefit American Veterans. WE CONDUCT ALL MEETINGS IN PUBLIC. MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE WELCOME TO ASK QUESTIONS, MAKE SUGESTIONS AND VOLUNTEER. THESE MEETINGS ARE SET FOR THE FIRST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 6:30 PM AT THE JACARANDA HOTEL CONFERENCE ROOM (REAR HAS EXTENDED PARKING). MEETING DATES MAY BE CHANGED DUE TO HOLIDAYS OR OTHER UNFORSEEN REASONS.

Wondering where to park for the Sebring Historical Society July 4th Celebration and the City of Sebring, Florida July 4th Fireworks Show?!?!

The City of Sebring is proud to partner with the Sebring Historical Society as our community comes together for this once-in-a-lifetime celebration honoring 250 years of American independence.

Before the spectacular fireworks light up the sky over Lake Jackson at 9:00 PM, be sure to stop by the Jack Stroup Civic Center from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM for an afternoon filled with:

🌮 Food trucks
🏛️ Historical displays
🇺🇸 Family-friendly activities

While you're there, stop by the Highlands Lakeside Theatre for their Annual Patriotic R***e, a Scholarship Fundraiser featuring the talented students of the HLT Mini Camp! Doors open at 10 a.m. with shows at 11 a.m., 12 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.

Bring your family, your lawn chairs, and your patriotic spirit as we celebrate our nation's 250th birthday together on the shores of Lake Jackson. We can't wait to see you there!
