TrueNorth’s Concert that was scheduled for this weekend, ‘Anthems of Love’, has been cancelled due to recently missing three weeks of rehearsals on account of the winter weather.

We hope to see you for our Lenten Concert, featuring John Rutter’s Requiem, Friday, March 27th, 7:30 pm and as we join the music ministry of Avon Lake Presbyterian Church on Good Friday, April 3, singing Joseph Martin’s Song of the Shadow.

TrueNorth concludes this concert season on Saturday, May 16th, celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary, with TrueNorth’s Patriotic Concert.

Interested in singing?! The TrueNorth Chorale is seeking additional voices as it continues its current season. We rehearse Tuesday evenings, 7:30-9:30 pm, at Bay United Methodist Church (29931 Lake Road). Three Concerts remain: February 14th Valentines Concert, Anthems of Love, singing works by Forrest, Rutter, and Whitacre; March 21st Lenten Concert performing John Rutter’s Requiem; and May 16th TrueNorth’s Patriotic Concert celebrating our country’s 250th Anniversary of the signing of The Declaration of Independence. The TrueNorth Chorale performs with the TrueNorth Chamber Orchestra and has a rich history in serving northeast Ohio through great choral repertoire and in raising awareness and funds for local and national causes. Avon Lake Presbyterian and TrueNorth Cultural Arts will be leading in a Carol-Sing this Saturday at Veterans Park. Children are invited to join us at 5:30 as we sing Rudolph, Frosty, Jingle Bells and other kid’s holiday song favorites as we prepare for Santa’s arrival at 5:45. Santa and the Mayor will be turning on the Holiday Lights for all the parks throughout Avon Lake with the Magic Holiday Switch at 5:45 pm. Come join us … lots of fun!!!!
