Here we go! • Stratigraphy: Celebrating Layering in the Arts, Exhibition, May 26-June 01, Arts Letters and Numbers Studio • A Tender Map-Making: Imaginary Island will be exhibited both live at the ALN studios (NY) and the virtual collection. • Map-makers and daydreamers/ artist collective: Aslı Eylem KOLBAŞ, Barışcan AVCI, Bengi AMAÇ UYGAN, Berivan GÜZEL, Berkay CAN, Bilge BAL, Ceren BALKIR ÖVÜNÇ, Elif HACISALİHOĞLU, Esraa REHAN, Evrim KAVCAR, Evrim TOMBUL, Gökçen ERKILIÇ, Güzin Yeliz KAHYA, Harun BİLGİN, Hilal BOZKURT, Ilgın HANCIOĞLU, İsmail EĞLER, Oğuz KAYIR, Onur KUTLUOĞLU, Ravza KABAKTEPE, Rehan MİSKCİ • the presented will be a video art of a collective body of a imaginary island made of 9 plates which slowly gets messy and dirty. The tender map is an assemble of map-plates embodied through experimentally drawing in which mapmaking tactics, layering, poetry -autobiographical actions, storytelling through earthly imagination are experienced. 102 plates are imagined and crafted with care and slowness during a week. A printed booklet with maps in detail and personal map-statements will be a companion to the video• ‘A Tender Map-Making: Imaginary Island’ is a workshop designed and run by Gökçen ERKILIÇ within the Dirty Drawings no.02 curated and designed by Bilge BAL, between March 11-18, 2023.
