Summer Performing Arts

Summer Performing Arts Summer Performing Arts provides children (rising 2nd-8th grades) with the opportunity to have fun and learn skills in music, acting, dance, and teamwork.

Our two-week camp culminates in a fully-fledged musical theatre production! Summer Performing Arts announces our 2017 production of Disney's Mulan, Jr., based on the beloved Chinese legend of girl who steps up to help defend her family and country, against the invading Wild Horsemen from the North.

2 weeks musical theater camp:
2017 July 10-21 (M-F, 9 a.m.to 4 p.m.) for kids currently in grades

1-7 (rising 2-8 graders)
at Trinity Episcopal School on Bee Caves Road

About our program: Summer Performing Arts is a 2 weeks musical theater camp, for kids graduating 1st - 7th grades. On site at Trinity Episcopal School we have spacious and beautiful accommodations for staging, art and music. Our camp takes up to 40 children to work with 5 full time staff teachers and 3 part special area teachers. Together, we take a reduced version of a Broadway play or Disney movie-to-play and learn the songs, acting and dancing to make a show, make props, scenery and costumes. Then we present our show to friends and family on the last 2 days of camp at no charge. Our mission is to teach real theater skills and involve children in tech areas (excepting lights and sound) needed for a production. Announcing our Summer Performing Arts 2026 production..... Alice in Wonderland, Jr.!! 🎩 🫖 🌷

We are delighted to be back at St. David's Episcopal Church this summer (July 6-17), and so excited to dive into this new adaptation of Alice! This is a super fun show, with an abundance of delightful and quirky characters. (Please note that this year, youth assistants/SPA Alumni have the opportunity to perform in one scene of the show!)

Come Share a Whole New World with us!! 🧞‍♂️

We are delighted to be back at St. David's Episcopal Church this summer (July 7-18), and super excited to dive into this new adaptation of Aladdin. (For those families who remember our 2016 production, this is a completely different script based on both the Broadway show and the original 1992 movie.)
